More than the everyday. Than the same old, same old. Something exciting, something that has nothing to do with having to go back home. And who can blame us when that happens? Sometimes hanging out at home and going through the same routine everyday just gets old and we need change.
But what do you do when that happens? Some people would drop everything and take off. But what about when you can't do that?
Cry. Sometimes when life gets you down, the best thing to do is watch a sad movie and get a nice, good cry out. Feeling stressed, lonely, and bored can really make an impact on how you're viewing life. Let yourself cry and then move on.
Get out of the house. Obviously you need a change of scenery. For me, it's difficult to really get out with a baby, but even a walk around the mall or the park can be refreshing. But sometimes a night out on the town is exactly what the doctor ordered. Get dressed up, grab some friends, and go bar hopping.
Have a friend spend the night. When was the last time you had a slumber party? I'm going to go out on a limb and bet that it's been years. Call up a friend, stay up late chatting, watching movies, eating lots of popcorn, ice cream, and cookies, and just have an old fashioned sleepover.
Cuddle with your babies. Ever watch Doc McStuffins? This isn't anything that a good cuddle from
Smile. Nothing will get better unless you make it better. It's easy to feel down, but it's really not that hard to make yourself happier. Think about all of the great things that are in your life. And smile.
These phases happen to everyone. Some last longer than others. But that's the thing…it's only a phase. Once you figure it out and cure it, life will be better than ever.
