Baby Shower Game Printables

My baby shower was on December 2nd and it was so much fun. I rarely get to see my friends and it was so incredible being able to spend time with all of them at once! And they were all so generous and bought Travis so many amazing gifts! He is very lucky to have so many people excited for his arrival. :)

(This is the incredible diaper cake a friend make for us! How cute?!)

When we were planning the shower (my mom and her friend did most of it, but I helped pick out decorations, etc.), I looked around at the various games. I knew I would have at least 20 people at my shower, and most games only come in packs of 12. Not wanting to have to spend money on two packs, I looked around at them and realized: I could make these. For the low low price of buying some cardstock paper, I made and cut out my very own baby shower games. It was great fun. :) (Although cutting them out took forever because I'm so dang particular and had to cut them perfectly!)

I used Adobe InDesign to make them (which I have very limited knowledge in from only one class at college that we used it in) but I was pretty pleased with how they turned out. It was exciting that a few of my friends asked in shock, "You made these??!" Why yes. :) Yes I did.

I've seen some baby shower game printables floating around Etsy before, but the point in homemade shower games, is that they're free. So why would I make you pay for these?

When guests first arrived, I handed them each one of the above cards. The first is just for them to write down any advice they had for Mommy-to-be and the second was more for my benefit of seeing who's closest once Travis is born. We had some pretty entertaining responses. :)

If you're giving out prizes, the way we did it was had a raffle for the first and last advice card that I read out loud. So the first and last card owner won a prize!

I just love Bingo! So of course I had to have this as one of my games. :) I've seen it played at showers several different ways, but the way we played it was before presents are opened, have the guests fill in the blanks with what they think the baby will be given. They can put things twice, such as "diapers" or "onesies," but in order to cross off both spaces, there has to have been two different gifts of diapers or onesies.

For prizes, we had the first two to get Bingo win a prize!

For the Baby Alphabet game, I gave guests three minutes to write down a word that has to do with babies for each letter of the alphabet. At the end of the three minutes, the person that had the most words won a prize. (And they have to actually have something to do with babies! I had to disqualify a few words when I was looking at papers.)

For the word scramble, I gave everyone five minutes to have a go at unscrambling all of the words. Even in five minutes, nobody got them all right!

Here is the key, just in case you can't get all of them either!
  1. Diaper
  2. Milk
  3. Bottle
  4. Changing pad
  5. Crib
  6. Rattle
  7. Baby monitor
  8. Bassinet
  9. Teddy bear
  10. High chair
  11. Onesies
  12. Mommy
  13. Stroller
  14. Bath tub
  15. Blankets
  16. Burp
  17. Pacifier
  18. Naptime
  19. Infant
  20. Bibs
Then for the prize, whoever had the most right won. Or, if you have a genius at your party that finishes before the time is up, then they would be the winner. :)
