Home + Remodel Show

This summer I interned for the Charleston Home + Design Magazine. It was an incredible experience and I was able to even write a few articles for the magazine. (Also do you see that bubble in the bottom right corner? They'd had something different there until I suggested using the word "striking." Eeeek, my word is on the cover!)

This weekend, as the end of my internship, I helped out with their Home Show. As this was the remodeling issue, the home show was based on remodeling as well. Both days I helped, I handed out programs or directed traffic, but I did get a few chances to walk around the booths, and if you are looking for any type of remodeling help, I would suggest looking for something like this in your area. Ours is over, it was just this past weekend, but I know that this magazine is not the only one that hosts shows like this.

There were booths for landscapers, architects, builders, and then a few others for carpet/hardwood flooring, spray foam insulation, kitchens/baths, and backyard renovators as well. Everytime I walked through, it really made me wish I owned a home! Right now my apartment will do, but I can't wait to buy (and remodel for some reason) my very own home!

If you need any help with a remodel, I would definitely suggest looking up a home show in your area, or even just looking up a builder or a company that does whatever you need help with, whether it's your kitchen, or your roof. Happy remodeling!
